Terms of Service
OVERVIEW
Welcome to Vera Lumin. This website is operated by VERA LUMIN B.V. By accessing our website and purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights that apply to you under consumer law.

The Netherlands

SECTION 2: PRODUCTS, PRESENTATION, AND COMMERCIAL EXCHANGES
We take care to describe and photograph our collections as accurately as possible. Colours and textures may appear differently depending on your device or screen settings.
For preference-based returns, such as a different size or style, Vera Lumin does not offer direct commercial exchanges as a standard service. This does not affect any statutory remedies available for non-conforming goods.
Our current lingerie and loungewear items are not supplied with hygiene seals. You may inspect and try on the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and fit, as you would in a physical store. If handling goes beyond what is necessary and causes a loss in value, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your reimbursement in accordance with applicable law.
SECTION 3: PLACING AN ORDER
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products. A legally binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may refuse or cancel an order for valid reasons, such as product unavailability, obvious pricing or technical errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid without undue delay.
We begin processing orders quickly. Once an order has entered processing, we may be unable to stop shipment or make changes to it. This operational limitation does not affect your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal that applies to your order.
SECTION 4: PRICES, PAYMENT, TAXES, AND DUTIES
Prices on our website are displayed in the currency made available for your delivery country. Depending on destination, this may include EUR, DKK, CZK, SEK, HUF, PLN, RON, CHF, or GBP. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout before you place your order.
For consumer sales within the European Union, displayed prices include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise, and there are no additional customs duties or import taxes upon delivery. For deliveries to Great Britain, we currently accept orders only where the consignment value is above £135. For eligible orders to Great Britain and for deliveries to Switzerland, applicable import VAT and duties are calculated and collected at checkout where applicable.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Our products are currently available for delivery within the European Union, Great Britain, and Switzerland.
SECTION 5: SHIPPING, DELIVERY, AND RISK
We ship our products from the Netherlands via FedEx to the destinations listed on our website. Delivery times shown on the website are estimates. Unless we expressly agree a different timeframe with you, delivery will take place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded.
The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you only when you, or a third party indicated by you other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods.
If a parcel is returned to us because you provided an incorrect address, failed to collect the parcel, or refused delivery for reasons not attributable to Vera Lumin, we may deduct the direct return shipping costs from your refund, provided these costs were clearly disclosed before purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights.
SECTION 6: RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have the statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods. If mandatory law in your country of habitual residence grants you additional or different rights, those rights remain unaffected.
You may exercise the right of withdrawal through your order history, by using our model withdrawal form, or by sending any other clear statement to vera@veralumin.com within the withdrawal period. Use of our return portal is the easiest method, but it is not a legal precondition for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.
Please return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal. For non-defective goods returned under the right of withdrawal, the direct return shipping costs are borne by the customer if this was clearly disclosed before purchase. If you use our pre-paid FedEx return option, the disclosed direct return shipping cost may be deducted from your reimbursement.
Original gift or branded packaging is appreciated but is not a condition for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal. If supplied tags, packaging, or accessories are missing or returned damaged and this causes a measurable loss in value, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your reimbursement. For a full-order withdrawal, we reimburse the standard outbound delivery costs. For partial returns, the original delivery charge is not reimbursed.
SECTION 7: LEGAL GUARANTEE AND NON-CONFORMING GOODS
Under applicable law, you are entitled to goods that conform to the contract. If a product is defective, damaged on arrival, or otherwise non-conforming, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at vera@veralumin.com. Where reasonably possible, please include clear photos or video so that we can assess the issue more quickly.
We may inspect the returned item to verify non-conformity. If the item is confirmed to be non-conforming, Vera Lumin will bear the necessary shipping and inspection costs and provide the remedies available under applicable law, which may include repair or replacement free of charge and, where appropriate, a price reduction or refund.
SECTION 8: VERA PRIVÉ LOYALTY PROGRAM
Participation in our Vera Privé loyalty program is subject to the rules published on the relevant loyalty page. We may update the benefits, tier requirements, or program rules from time to time with reasonable notice. Such changes will not affect rights already accrued where mandatory law provides otherwise.
SECTION 9: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website, including the brand name VERA LUMIN, collection names, text, photographs, graphics, and designs, is the property of VERA LUMIN B.V. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or reproduce such content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
SECTION 10: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We provide our website and services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights, remedies relating to non-conforming goods, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or gross negligence.
SECTION 11: COMPLAINTS AND ADR
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at vera@veralumin.com. We will review your complaint and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available. Where available, consumers may also contact their national consumer information or alternative dispute resolution body.
SECTION 12: GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms of Service and any agreements between us are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the Member State in which you are domiciled or in the competent courts of the Netherlands. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or have no general place of jurisdiction within the European Union and mandatory law does not require otherwise, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
SECTION 13: CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page.
Any changes apply only to future use of the website and to future orders placed after the revised Terms are published, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Orders already confirmed remain subject to the version of the Terms that applied at the time of purchase, except where a change is required by law or to correct an obvious error.
